Skybus to quit flying

If you didn't hear yet, Skybus has quit flying. Period. No more flights.

On their website, the headline is:

Skybus Airlines will cease all operations effective Saturday, April 5.

Not sure how this is going to affect PTI, but it seems like PTI hasn't even updated their website to actually show any news of it. Who knows what sort of economic impacts this will have on the Piedmont area, especially after PTI was showing improvements in passengers and I'm sure that some of that traffic was attributed to the budget carrier.

Should be interesting to see how this turns out since that means there's going to be a new opening at PTI. Will they fill it with another budget carrier? Perhaps Ryan Air? Can budget airlines keep afloat? Only time can tell.
