Microsoft Bootvis
Microsoft Bootvis is one amazing tool.
Created for hardware developers to actually optimize the booting process for Windows XP, it's actually an amazing tool just to optimize your system with the quickest boot up available. Basically what it does, is that it scans the services and such that run at boot time. Then it optimizes those services and such based on how it detected these services launching. It provides pretty graphs and everything. If it's too complicated for you to figure out on your own, I would recommend you reach this article and follow it step-by-step.
It really takes absolutely zero amount of effort, and the results are definitely enough that you can see it happening upon your next reboot. Only works with Windows XP from what I can tell, but it's still one of the best tools out there that I've seen for boot time optimizing.
