Inactive Users Tracker

inactive.jpg As Windows administrator, you will run across some users that go inactive for a period of time.
Well, if that’s not just annoying, here’s a nice little tool that you can run that will provide scheduled reports on who hasn’t logged in for so many days, and allow you to disable those accounts after a certain period. It can do it by domain, which means it interacts with Active Directory which is very useful in a corporate setting. If you want to customize the email reports, or happen to want automated scheduling, then you might want to purchase the commercial version of the tool. Otherwise, the freeware one works just as well.
While most would probably write scripts to do the same… this is a nice easy GUI tool that you don’t have to mess with writing things. Take the lazy way out if you don’t want to concoct your own tools.
