Seven mobile suite

seven.jpg Friedbeeftech has a great review on Seven, a mobile content management suite that includes mobile email, calendar, and other types of utilities on the go. While there is a commercial version, there is also a beta version that is free. Currently it supports Windows Mobile, Symbian, and some J2ME mobiles.
What’s great about this is that it basically has support for a multitude of email accounts and can allow you to synchronize with Outlook, Gmail and all sorts of other types of accounts. It even allows you to pen in emails offline that will be sent when your device goes online and to set up meeting requests between your contacts… something that has been missing from many suites trying to take over market share from Outlook.
From a mobile perspective, this is definitely an interesting suite to play with and apparently is pretty intense. Worth the time to test it out.

  • Hi,
I apologize for the off-topic message, but I’m wondering if you might have any recommendations on graphics/paint programs.
I’m looking for something for creating web graphics and web photos. Photoshop is just too expensive for me. PaintShop Pro is more affordable, but I’m wondering if you are aware of any free/opensource programs that are good.
I think my favorite graphics program of all-time was the late Aldus Freehand. I especially liked being able to convert object to paths which could then be manipulated by dragging handles. Primarily though, I just need something that allows photo manipulation and creation of shapes and text with elements separated as either layers or sprites. Any recommendations?
