Vivia – The Video Editor

vivia.jpg Vivia is an open source video editor for Windows and Linux. From the looks of it, it seems rather user friendly since it can handle avi or dv video streams and can support multi-cam editing which is useful when you’re watching one single source from different cameras.
One of the most interesting features is that this has crash recovery. I can’t tell you how many times you freak out over a crashed application that doesn’t save your work. It also does real-time changes when edited so you see the results right away.
Pretty neat stuff. Would like to see more formats supported, but the overall interface is pretty easy to understand since it’s editing on a timeline. Nice.
