Thunderbird extension: SyncMab

syncmab.png SyncMab is a Thunderbird extension that allows you to import and export your Mozilla address book at the startup and end of Thunderbird. This means that you can basically keep the most up-to-date address book, but also store it off somewhere else on the network and have a local and remote copy of your address book.
What’s interesting is that you can synchronize to a file, a ftp, or a http. This gives you a lot of flexibility. What’s more is that you can then have multiple people access the same address book without having issues with accessibility. This is due to the fact that the synchronization is done at the beginning and end of the application and thus not tying up the address book while the application is running.
Definitely an interesting concept for remote address books syncs if anyone needed it and was pushing email clients such as Thunderbird.
