What the heck is MiB?

You know what a MiB(mebibyte) is? I sure didn’t. At least not termed as such. But apparently what people thought as a “megabyte” really isn’t:
1 MiB = 220 bytes = 1,048,576 bytes = 1,024 kibibytes
1 MiB = 1024 (= 210) kibibytes (KiB), and 1024 MiB equal one gibibyte (GiB).
Just so you know… since I didn’t either. Makes sense but kind of silly with the contractions and such.
Update (1:50PM EST): Updated the quoted text to reflect the superscript, which didn’t come out due to my negligence. Thanks B!
