Disable “Low Disk” warning in Windows XP

One of the most annoying Windows things that happens outside of the legendary “blue screen of death” and actually running Windows itself, is the “Low disk space” warning. CMC has the ins on how to disable this through a registry hack.

Go to : Start > Run > type regedit in registry editor Go to :
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
Right click the key’s “folder” icon and select New Dword Value.
Name the new Dword value “NoLowDiskSpaceChecks” and give it a value of 1. Then close Registry and Reboot your system.

Don’t forget that this is a registry change. So remember to back it up before going to mess with it. Don’t you wish there was a registry hack to prevent BSODs?
