Otter Box

Otter boxes are a very inexpensive way of protecting your gear when you’re in an environment where your electronics or gear could potentially get damaged by water. The picture shown is the Otter Box 9000, but it also comes in many different shapes and sizes and runs anywhere from eleven dollars to twenty five dollars.
They are also made of heavy duty plastic and thus are somewhat crush resistant and do float, although if you weigh down your box, I’m sure it’ll sink regardless. The hinges and lid are made in such a way that the box snaps closed and is airtight to not allow any seepage. Being waterproof down to 100 ft. that means that you technically could carry your precious electronic device with you and go….. snorkeling I suppose. Not that I’d risk any pricey electronics myself.
