Setting up sitemap in Movable Type

Setting up sitemaps in MovableType is a cakewalk. Breeze. Easy as pie.
Okay. We admit that we didn’t know how to do it.
But Niall Kennedy does, cuz he’s smarter than all of us here at lux. Apparently you just take this bit of code:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<urlset xmlns="http://www.google.com/schemas/sitemap/0.84">
<url>
<loc><$MTBlogURL encode_xml="1"$></loc>
<priority>1.0</priority>
</url>
<MTEntries lastn="9999">
<url>
<loc><$MTEntryPermalink encode_xml="1"$></loc>
<lastmod><$MTEntryModifiedDate utc="1" format="%Y-%m-%dT%H:%M:%SZ"$></lastmod>
</url>
</MTEntries>
</urlset>

See that? You take that, stick it in a index template that saves to a file, and BAM! It’s done. Go figure. And we were looking for this fancy plugin and everything. Thanks Niall for shedding some of that brilliance that we didn’t know.
