The business of consistency

One way to drive yourself out of business is to be inconsistent.
It’s interesting how many people don’t follow this little rule. Take for example a business that has to have a sale. So like always, the business sells pencils for $1 but the sale is 50 cents. Then the owner feels that there are enough customers that he can jack up the price to 75 cents and make a quarter on every customer that went in at 50 cents.
Sorry bub. It doesn’t work that way. Consistency is what brings customers in the first place. Consistency is what keeps them there. Even your worst critics can’t say that you’re wishy washy and can’t make up your mind if you stick to your guns. It might be a small thing, but it’s one way to make sure that you’ll stay afloat.
