How to set up development domains

This tip while coming from The Apple Blog, can actually be used for any Apache based web service and anything with a hosts file. Basically, if access something and you don’t want to type in the long ugly IP address, then you edit your hosts file to point to the IP address. If the IP address happens to be your local machine, then you’ll have to change some settings on the Apache web server to actually make it understand that when you access from local, it’s called “X”.
If you got lost from all of that, don’t worry about it. You probably didn’t need to know how to do that anyways.
