Anime Watch: Gun X Sword

Recently, an anime that has come into the repertoire of the LUX staff has been Gun X Sword. As with many animes, Gun X Sword is set in a cowboy and mecha intertwined world. The main character Van has been compared to Spike from Cowboy Bebop and Vash the Stampede from Trigun. The style of world can even be seen in a similar fashion in the world of Firefly.
Without giving too much of the storyline away, this twenty six episode action packed anime has a quirky main character that holds one of the strongest Armors (mecha) in the world.
One thing to note. This anime has one of the most unique intros yet to be seen. It’s similar to a movie introduction and has the main characters blurred out until introductions have been made. Here’s to hoping that Adult Swim brings this States side for the rest of the American fanboys and fangirls. Much thanks has to go to Netflix, whom has provided us with many hours of anime love, of which we could not get anywhere else.

  • These are great! Thx for the heads-up on Gun X Sword. And many of the folks interviewed for Living w/ Geeks include these in their collections. It's a club or something...You didn't look too tipsy in that clip - rather just hypnotized from all the ConvergeSouth greatness! :) Hope all is well.
