Sun ships portable datacenter

Sun Microsystems is now shipping Project Blackbox. This is basically a datacenter that is built straight into a shipping container so that you can basically launch any sort of Internet services anywhere in the world from any place. As long as there’s water, and electricity, and bandwidth and you’ve got yourself a portable datacenter capable of running at least 10,000 workstations.
If you’re a geek, this is where the eyes boggle and the drooling begins. Unfortunately, we have no doubt that these probably cost beyond most of our salary ranges, but we would still love to take five and hopefully Sun can also throw in a locomotive.
