It’s hard to escape the AOL machine…even after you die

AOL customer service has been reaping some negative press as of late. Apparently there’s been an incidence where a daughter was trying to cancel her deceased father’s AOL account and could not due to terrible customer service representatives.
Like we haven’t heard that one before.
What bothers us is the automated machine to try to gain back customers though.

A few days ago, Gauthier obtained a letter from AOL that was sent to her mother in Florida. The letter was addressed to Melvin Berkowitz.
“Dear Mr. Berkowitz,” it said. “We hope you’ll come back to AOL.”

Scary. AOL wants you back even after you die. Truly scary.
