How to create a log file in Notepad

Pretty neat trick. Apparently if you open a file with Notepad, and type on the first line:

.LOG

Then you save the file and exit.
The next time you open the file, there will be a timestamped entry for you to type descriptions under. Everytime you re-open the file, a new timestamp will appear.
Very interesting.
