Quickly change your Windows password from consoler

If you have administrator access, or even a boot disk, there are a few things that you can do for accounts that you don’t have access to anymore. Within the console, just type “net user new password” where new password is your new password.
If you do it through the control panel, according to Lifehacker, apparently it prompts you for the old password. More flags and options are available for domain control and setting users active, country codes, and other crazy account things that you usually don’t care about.
