Hacking your Sandisk U3 drives

Sandisk U3 drives have this unique ability to look to be automatically detected like a cdrom drive. This opened some new doors up for Mississippi State University graduate student Wesley McGrew. Interestingly enough, he found that you can patch in your own isos.
What does this mean? It means that anyone can create an image of any piece of software and boot straight to computer that takes USB flash drives. Even with a locked down machine. We won’t go further as to the uses, but it definitely is a nice feature that Sandisk is providing.
