SCOTUS says government employees aren’t protected by First Amendment

“It’s a very frightening signal of dark times ahead,” said Tom Devine, legal director for the Government Accountability Project.
This 5-4 ruling basically shows that if you tattle on your employer, you will not be protected for whatever fraudulent act your employer might be committing. In this case, your employer would happen to be the government itself.

Stephen Kohn, chairman of the National Whistleblower Center, said: “The ruling is a victory for every crooked politician in the United States.”

Everyone knows that the government is one of the most inefficient and most corruptible forces of power. Without the protection for whistleblowing, there will be a lot more gender discriminations and other acts to follow since there is no way to file a lawsuit against the government without whistleblowing protection.
Dark times indeed.
