DHS’s dirty European secrets

Apparently DHS had an agreement between the European Union when the EU gave DHS lists of EU passengers with the condition of only hunting for terrorists and other serious crimes. While the ACLU has said in the press release:

It is now clear that DHS did not abide by that agreement.

That being said, there was sharing of the same passenger data with the Centers for Disease Control in a secret DHS agreement between the two agencies. Why does this keep happening? Two words for you.
No accountability.
This is exactly why we have occurrences of embezzlement from both political parties in Congress. This is also why we find that there are issues with money management and no follow-ups with agreements such as these with other nations. Anyone that works in federal can tell you. It’s practically impossible to get fired unless you commit some heinous crime even though a boo-boo such as this would get you your pink slip in the real…err… corporate world. Why? Those two words again.

  • I’m guessing that’s the “Department of Homeland Security” or DHS for short. Maybe I should just read the link. 🙂
