Senator aide works for Viacom after supporting broadcast flag bill

All politicians seriously need a wake-up call to reality. If you tried to pull this sort of stunt in the real world, you would at the very least lose your job. I personally know that I signed a piece of paper that said I couldn’t work for the competition within a one year time-frame due to “conflict of interest.”
Well, apparently this doesn’t apply to politics. There is a legislative aide for Senator Gordon Smith (R-Ore) that has left to work for big cable giant, Viacom. It just happens that this same senator has been touting the “broadcast flag” bill of which VIacom is a huge supporter of and has been lobbying for Smith’s support.
Joy. Where’s the ethics? Oh wait. Sorry. We forgot for a second who we’re talking about.
