Canadian musicians have walked out on CRIA

Canadian musicians fed up with the lawsuits against their fans, have walked out on the Canadian Recording Industry Association. Currently,it consists of these artists:

Barenaked Ladies, Avril Lavigne, Sarah McLachlan, Chantal Kreviazuk, Sum 41, Stars, Raine Maida (Our Lady Peace), Dave Bidini (Rheostatics), Billy Talent, John K. Samson (Weakerthans), Broken Social Scene, Sloan, Andrew Cash and Bob Wiseman (Co-founder Blue Rodeo)

They have joined together to form the CMCC (Canadian Music Creators Coalition). It’s about time that the musicians got fed up, but we’re happy to see that the talent finally stand behind the fans. It’s only time that musicians will begin the same type of fallout with the RIAA.
