Starforce anti-piracy driver reboots system without permission

More scary DRM protection. Starforce, a DRM that is implemented on certain computer games to make sure that there is no illegal copying of the game itself, has been found to have a driver that has the highest level of access within your nice little Windows-based system. If there is anything potentially suspicious about the system, the driver will launch a reboot.
Now, while this is an interesting way of preventing piracy, it also stays on the system after the game is uninstalled with no easily manageable way to remove it. Could it wreak havoc on your system? We would imagine anything that reboots the system based on its decision and not the user’s would constitute as a “yes”.
