VGA to RJ45 boxes

ElephantStaircase is a great website with a bunch of “howtos”. One of the more interesting ones seems to be the VGA to RJ45 boxes. What these do, is to rewire the pins from a VGA connector, and transfer the current and signals over RJ45. Since Cat5 cables can transfer current up to 150 feet, that greatly extends your signal area over a common ethernet cable.
The idea is similar to power-over-ethernet cables, but they cost somewhere around $99-150 for the VGA-to-RJ45 boxes.
So here’s the howto to make your own!
