Do what you love!

One of my favorite authors, Paul Graham, has another great essay. How to Do What You Love.
Ahh… the man writes so well.
If anyone wants to read more of his essays, just go to his website or read his book, Hackers and Painters.

  • Great essay. I once read a book called “Do What You Love and the Money Will Follow.” I think there is a lot to that adage and so many of us are in bondage either to the opinion of others or to materialistic idols. I have found I am more inclinded to advise my kids towards risk than I was willing to take risks myself when I was young. I have a daughter in a rock band that is just cutting a CD (American Aqauarium), and she will decide as she will, but I would advise her to ride the wave and see where it takes her even if she has to drop out for a while. But then you get to be my age and so many guys I know feel totally stuck. There are things they would love to do but they just can’t see a way to afford to. Sometimes I think I’m still trying to decide what to do when I grow up.
