Vitrite – transparency for Windows

Vitrite has been providing transparency for Windows applications since 2002. And it’s pretty dang cool. If you don’t mind another thing taking up some of those precious resources that Windows doesn’t already hog. Couple things to note from the author:

  • Vitrite will not work on the following Windows operating systems: Windows 95, 98, or ME. The features that Vitrite uses are only available on Windows 2000 and XP. Sorry, not much I can do about this one.
  • Vitrite can’t change the transparency of the Command Prompt program (CMD.EXE). I’m still working on this and should have a fix (or at least a better explanation) available soon.

Otherwise, try it here! A whole 85k installer!
UPDATE (11:35PM): Michael points out that the link doesn’t work. Sorry about that, it probably got bombarded. Here’s another one that does.
