Sprint and record companies criticized for their music pricing

This is another case of executives that went off and did their own merry thing without listening to a trend analyst or just have some plain common sense. They (Sprint top management and record executives) assume that someone that will pay $2.50 for a ringtone will also pay $2.50 for a song. Much to their chagrin, people just don’t see ringtones as the same thing as downloadable music. This is the reality of it all. You can’t justify having someone pay $2.50 for a french fry, when they paid the same amount for a baked potato. Sure they’re both made from potatoes, but they’re just not the same thing.
