Windows Vista “Rip-Off” Edition

Microsoft is at it again, trying to rip the consumer a new hole in their wallets. According to ArsTechnica, a PC enthusiast site, there will be seven versions: Starter Edition, Home Basic Edition, Home Premium Edition, Professional Edition, Small Business Edition, Enterprise Edition, and Ultimate Edition.
My question is: WHY? It’s an operating system. We don’t want crippled anything and you (Microsoft) are the one that took forever to release the thing (Longhorn was pushed out at least two – three release dates). I might be a gadget consumer, but I’m not falling for the stupidity of pushing your faults onto us. You can take your Vista editions and put them where the sun don’t shine since I’d hate to say it, but you’re setting yourself up for death with this one.

  • Indeed, MS is a marketing company over a software company, but alas the more knowledgeable consumers will be put off by “The Gates Effect.”

Funny how you say this, it means nothing …. You know who is in charge and who will always dominate. So live with it , and let your words fade away.

Let’s see… this is coming from someone that runs Frontpage extensions versus myself, whom I don’t run Windows at all anymore. Brilliant.
