Google’s WiFi Network no longer a pipedream

Google is launching their WiFI network, first in the Bay area and soon in other places. They also have a Secure WiFi application called Secure Access. The cool thing is that they’re releasing this although I’m curious to hear what the costs are to access the network.
The application is free, but unfortunately the website actually filters for only San Franscisco users currently so you get redirected to the main Google site if you are not from the Bay area.
UPDATE (11:26AM): Looks like Google is doing an OS filter on the browser links for the download area. So you have to use a Windows box to connect or spoof. Kind of idiotic but good thing I had another terminal handy.
The FAQ is here.
