UC school administrative bonuses anger students

University of California bonuses to sixty five of their administration sparked outrage with students and campus staff. From student tuitions that have been rising for the last four years, justification of the bonuses averaging at $36,000 and as high as $82,000.

Personal note: If anything, this annoys me. In a bigger picture, higher education schools are just like corporations, and are top-heavy. Administration seems to “know what’s best” for students and gives themselves pats on the back with large-scale bonuses, while students try their best to get loans to finish up schooling.
Where are the people that at least make an effort to SEEM like they care? Take Cisco CEO John Chambers. Back in 2001, he took a $1 salary to show the world that he was trying to contribute to helping his corporation.
