Senate passes revised IPPA

The Senate has taken out the anti-fastforwarding part of the bill and also another one where allows the attorney general to pursue civil cases against copyright infringers. Engadget has it here.

A comment is worth noting. The House DID pass the one that had that information in it. When they get together behind closed doors, the Senate can argue that they didn’t fight for it but somehow in the hustle and bustle, it got put back in. There still is a good chance that it can land on Bush’s desk with the anti-fast forwarding section. Be forewarned.
